1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and optional display name.

Audio Recordings: When you use our recording or upload features, your audio is processed by our AI service to generate transcriptions and structured notes. Audio files are stored so you can play them back from your notes until you delete the note or delete your account.

Notes & Content: Your transcriptions, structured notes, folders, and tags are stored in our database to provide the service.

Usage Data: We track aggregate usage (note counts, recording minutes) to enforce plan limits and improve the service.

Payment Information: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the EasyAudioNotes service
• To transcribe your audio recordings and generate structured notes
• To manage your account and process payments
• To send transactional emails (welcome, usage alerts, billing)
• To improve our service quality and fix bugs

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Google Gemini API: Audio and note content are sent for transcription and note generation. Google's API data usage policies apply.
• Supabase: Database hosting and authentication.
• Stripe: Payment processing.
• Resend: Transactional email delivery.

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), secure authentication via Supabase, and row-level security policies on our database.

5. Data Retention

Your notes, folders, account data, and stored audio are retained while your account is active. You can delete individual notes at any time; deleting a note removes its associated stored audio from active storage. To delete your account entirely, use Settings or the delete account page. Account deletion removes your account data, notes, folders, and stored audio from active systems, subject to limited processor records retained when required for billing, security, or legal compliance.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may also request a copy of your data. Use in-app deletion controls where available, or contact us at support@easyaudionotes.com for data requests.

7. Cookies

EasyAudioNotes uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice.
